5 Ways to Sleep Better
We are constantly made aware of how important it is to sleep in the right way. Without the normal amount of sleep, the body is left open to all sorts of problems because our immune systems are not fully functional. Without the correct sleep pattern, we will also find that fatigue plays a problem in everyday situations. In this guide, we will explore five ways you can sleep better every single night.
Intercourse
Having intercourse with your partner is a great way to ensure you sleep well. The release of endorphins from ejaculation allows your body to feel 'satisfied'; therefore, resting properly is not a problem. Of course, intercourse is not an option to everybody; as a result, masturbation is another way to get the same effect.
Socks
Research has shown that making sure your whole body is warm when you are trying to sleep is preferable. Socks and maybe even gloves can help make sure your feet, and hands remain warm throughout the night. The scientific reason behind this idea is that your blood vessels enlarge when you are warm, and this lowers your natural core temperature making it easier for you to fall asleep. It has been estimated that wearing socks halves the time it takes for you to get to sleep.
Turn Your Mind Off
Everybody has had a restless night because they had too much on their mind. Research has suggested that having a notepad by your bed can be a great way of detailing your thoughts, thereby 'releasing' them from your mind. It may be that you end up writing complete gibberish and fall asleep with the pen on the pad, but hey, at least you are asleep!
Surroundings
Making sure your bedroom is laid out 'correctly' can help you to fall sleep. Even if you think this is a load of 'nonsense' your subconscious will not, and this will be proven with changes to your sleep pattern. To make sure everything is correct requires a bit of time but it is worth it. Your room should be a soothing colour like dark green or blue and not orange or red. The next step would be to create some low volume white noise, get some earplugs and make sure your curtains can keep out all the sun in the morning. This will ensure that the sun is not the reason you are wide awake at 6:45!
Sleep As You Are Supposed To
Research has shown that there are a few things everybody can do to ensure they sleep better. Even though some of these points may sound simple, there may be a few of us that struggle to make sure everything is correctly followed. For a start, make sure your room is pitch black, then try and sleep on your left hand side, because this has been proven to be a more effective way to sleep because the body generates stops potential acid reflex on the left hand side. Last but not least, cuddle up to something or somebody, this can be a partner, animal or even a teddy bear, basically as long as your subconscious feels safe you will generally sleep much better.
