What Is Eriacta?
Eriacta is a Sildenafil Citrate tablet used to treat male erectile dysfunction.
How Should I Take Eriacta?
Eriacta should be taken orally with a glass of water. You can take it with or without food. You should aim to ingest Eriacta around one hour before expected sexual activity. Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
If you have overdosed on Eriacta, call an emergency room or poison control center as soon as possible.
What Should I Tell My Doctors Before I Take Eriacta?
Tell your doctors if you have had any of the following and plan on taking Eriacta:
- Previous stroke
- Kidney issues
- Liver issues
- Heart issues
- Eye or vision issues
- Allergic reactions to Sildenafil
What Should You Watch For When Taking Eriacta?
If your vision changes when taking Eriacta, or if you start to experience issues with your eyes, call a doctor as soon as possible.
If your erection becomes painful or lasts longer than 4 hours, call a doctor as soon as possible. This may lead to permanent health issues if not treated immediately.
If you start to feel sick or experience pain when engaging in sexual activity, stop immediately and call a doctor as soon as possible. Don't continue using Eriacta until you get the go ahead from your doctor.
Eriacta does not protect against STD's.
What May Interact With Eriacta?
Refrain from taking Eriacta if you take medication for:
- Nitroprusside
- Cisapride
- Nitrates
- Methscopolamine nitrate
- Other sildenafil products
Eriacta may also interact with the following medicines:
- Rifampin
- Erythromycin
- Cimetidine
- Fungal or yeast infection drugs
- HIV or AIDS drugs
- Blood pressure drugs
Eriacta may also interact with other medications. Contact your doctor to be sure you do not run into any issues.
What Side Effects May I Notice From This Medicine?
If you notice any of the following, call your doctor as soon as possible:
- Chest pain
- Hearing issues
- Breathing issues
- Allergic reactions
- Irregular heart beat
- Prolonged erections
- Vision or eye issues
- Seizures
The following side effects are more common and don't require medical attention:
- Flushing
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Indigestion
- Runny nose
There are other possible side effects. Talk to your doctor to make sure none of your current medications will interact with Eriacta.
Where Can I Keep Eriacta?
Store your Eriacta in a room temperature environment, preferably in a locked medicine cabinet. Do not allow children to handle Eriacta.
